Closed-door meeting in Kulai nothing to do with state polls , says Johor Umno secretary

KULAI: The closed-door meeting with the Barisan Nasional machinery here is not a sign that state polls are looming, says Johor Umno secretary Datuk Samsolbari Jamali .

“We have yet to make any discussions about the state election within Johor Umno, but everybody can speculate about it,” added Samsolbari.He said that the focus of Johor Umno and Barisan Nasional remains on serving the people.“Our main focus is to overcome Covid-19 and the floods in Johor,” said Samsolbari.

Asked if elections could be called after the floods are over, the Johor Agriculture, Agro-Based and Rural Development Committee chairman said the matter has yet to be disclosed.“Everybody is talking about the state election and it seems everybody is ready for the election but Johor Barisan has been consistent in our present work, which is to serve the people,” he added.
