Sekatan terhadap tujuh individu dan entiti AS

BEIJING: China mengenakan sekatan terhadap beberapa individu dan organisasi Amerika Syarikat sebagai respons terhadap sekatan AS kepada pegawai China di Hong Kong.Sekatan balas itu dikenakan beberapa hari sebelum Timbalan Setiausaha AS, Wendy Sherman dijangka mengadakan lawatan ke China.

Sekatan AS terhadap pegawai China di Hong Kong adalah kerana peranan negara itu mengenakan tindakan keras di wilayah tersebut. Washington turut memberi amaran kepada komuniti perniagaannya mengenai peningkatan risiko beroperasi di Hong Kong. China memperkenalkan Undang-Undang Keselamatan Negara tahun lalu sebagai respons terhadap protes pro-demokrasi besar-besaran.Kementerian Luar China semalam tampil menjelaskan sekatan AS baru-baru ini dirancang untuk ‘mengotorkan persekitaran perniagaan Hong Kong tanpa asas’ dan ‘melanggar undang-undang antarabangsa serta norma-norma asas yang mengatur hubungan antarabangsa’.
