PETALING JAYA: Tan Cheng Hoe has resigned as the national coach of Malaysia's football team.

The Football Association of Malaysia confirmed the news on Monday after holding discussions with the 52-year-old.

Cheng Hoe decided to quit after Malaysia failed to qualify for the knockout stages of the AFF Suzuki Cup.His most successful outing was when Malaysia finished as runners-up in the 2018 AFF Suzuki Cup.

I give my full respect to Cheng Hoe. What a gentleman he is. To give way to another Coach is not easy things to do. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to our team all this while. You have my salute ! Respect

Good news. Time to find a new coach. He made the HM team looked like a bunch of 3rd class footballers. Couldn't hold ball possession even for 5 seconds. Couldn't attack nor defend. If possible a coach from South Korea. Or if local why not get Bojan Ho dak.

He have done the best job for malaysia football. Thank you so much on behave time and experience give to the National football team. All the best coach. respect
