KUALA LUMPUR: A car plunged into a river near the Sogo shopping mall here on Sunday .
Fire and Rescue Department operations commander Mohd Azizi Abdullah said rescuers inspected the situation with the utmost caution given the river's strong current. "Firemen along with officers from Kuala Lumpur City Hall managed to recover the vehicle with a winch by 10.47am," he said. The 23-year-old victim from Taman TTDI Jaya sustained minor injuries and was taken the Subang Jaya Medical Centre by his brother.
