PETALING JAYA: Rakyat Bantah Penghilangan Paksa sambut baik pelantikan Azian Umar dari Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia dan pengamal bebas undang-undang, Tan Kor Mee ke pasukan petugas khas yang ditubuhkan untuk menyiasat dapatan Suruhanjaya Hak Asasi Manusia tentang kehilangan aktivis Amri Che Mat, dan pastor, Raymond Koh.
CAGED bagaimanapun khuatir kenyataan Kementerian Dalam Negeri mengumumkan pelantikan itu tidak mengandungi terma-terma rujukan.“Tugas pasukan petugas itu adalah untuk melakukan apa yang polis tidak lakukan iaitu mendedahkan apa yang ditutup polis dan memastikan tindakan diambil terhadap anggota-anggota yang jahat.”
CAGED berkata kenyataan itu juga tidak menyentuh mengenai percanggahan kepentingan melibatkan Pengerusi Rahim Uda dan Pengarah Jabatan Integriti dan Pematuhan Standard , Zamri Yahya.CAGED tidak berpuas hati dengan penjelasan KDN tentang keperluan Zamri dalam pasukan itu, iaitu bagi memastikan kerjasama anggota-anggota polis.“Zamri pihak yang berkepentingan kerana beliau sepatutnya menyiasat 5 isu yang berpotensi sebagai salah laku oleh 8 pegawai dalam inkuiri Suhakam,” katanya.
CAGED berharap KDN akan berbincang dengan NGO dan pihak-pihak yang pernah bercakap mengenai isu ini sebelum mengeluarkan sebarang kenyataan mengenai perkara itu.
