A businessman lost a chunk of his day’s earnings when the money collected from 10 of his shops were stolen in broad daylight on Jan 10.

The 40-year-old had kept the money amounting to RM230,744 inside his car boot and had gone to another one of his shops to collect money at around 11.45am.

The victim would normally collect the earnings daily, count them and put the money into the company bank account. “Two patrol policemen chased after the suspects based on a description from a witness and managed to stop a vehicle with the suspects inside,” he said.
