Budget 2022 to strengthen healthcare system, PM says

THE 2022 Budget to be tabled in Parliament on Friday will ensure continued efforts to strengthen the national healthcare system, including emphasising research and development so that the country is prepared in the event of a new wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, according to Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

He said Budget 2022 would also focus on protecting, restoring the lives and livelihoods of the people and businesses as well as rebuilding the country’s resilience and spur more sustainable post-pandemic reforms.
