Briyani restaurant shuttered two weeks after rat dropping, dead lizard find
GEORGE TOWN: A famous nasi briyani restaurant on Lebuh Chulia has been ordered to close for two weeks by the Health Department after rat droppings and dead lizards were found in the kitchen.
The inspectors will return three days after the issuance of the notice, and if they are satisfied with the condition of restaurant after it's cleaned up, it may be allowed to reopen.
This is the second time that the restaurant has been ordered to close by health authorities – the last being in July last year.Read more: The Star
