Anwar yang merakamkan salam takziah atas pemergian tersebut berkata, bekas Presiden Indonesia itu dan isterinya iaitu Allahyarham Ainon telah menjaga beliau selepas bebas dari penjara.

“Saya mewakili PKR mengutuskan salam takziah buat keluarga Allahyarham. Semoga rohnya ditempatkan bersama dalam kalangan mereka yang beriman dan beramal soleh,” katanya dalam status akaun Facebook miliknya, hari ini.
