BANK Negara Malaysia’s international reserves amounted to US$116.9 billion as at December 31, 2021, marginally lower compared with US$116.3 billion on December 15. In a statement today, the central bank said the reserves position is sufficient to finance 7.7 months of retained imports and is 1.2 times total short-term external debt.
