SHAH ALAM: Perlis mufti Mohd Asri Zainul Abidin has welcomed the arrests of several people accused of helping the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam , saying it was a fair move by the police who have also been taking action against IS sympathisers.
“It is a threat to the nation if there are politicians with positions who are involved in supporting terrorist groups and work towards spilling blood,” he said. Among them were Gadek assemblyman G Saminathan, who is also a Melaka state executive councillor, and Seremban Jaya assemblyman P Gunasekaren.
