PETALING JAYA: An army man was killed when he collided with a car on Jalan Choh, Bukit Beruntung, on his way to work.

Hulu Selangor OCPD Supt Arsad Kamaruddin said the accident occurred at 6.10am on Thursday as the deceased, Jamilul Firdaus, 34, was heading to the Royal Army Engineers Regiment base at Kem Bukit Hagate on Jalan Padang Tembak from Bukit Sentosa on his motorcycle.

"He encountered a driver who had lost control of his car and veered into Jamilul's lane and crashed into him. He died on the spot," Supt Arsad said.Supt Arsad said an earlier test revealed the driver had not been under the influence of drugs and police would be checking for alcohol intake. Police arrested the driver and the case is being investigated for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.
