Appeals Court says High Court judge correct in quashing Muslim convert mother’s unilateral conversion of children to Islam

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 27 — A three-judge panel at the Court of Appeal today decided that the High Court was correct to rule in favour of a Buddhist father by quashing his two children’s unilateral conversion to Islam by the Muslim convert mother.

“We have come to our decision. Our decision is unanimous, and we are of the view that the High Court judge as well as we — the appeal court — are bound by the Federal Court’s decision in Indira Gandhi. “And in this case we think the proper order is no order as to costs,” he said in delivering the panel’s brief decision.

Hopefully Malay MPs can do something to revert back the original meaning of parent in the Constitution as 'a parent' and not as 'parents'.

Najib gets court greenlight for extended passport releaseIt's been extended until Dec 6. Our court had just become the biggest joke now and glaringly siding the ones in power. There is no logic to him having the need to go to Singapore, none. Just as there isn'a need for his daughter to give birth to her child which I assume won't be Malaysian by law, in Singapore. Just give it back to him for good since he seems to have more privileges than 99.99% of the people who are law abiding, honest & hardworking anyway. No need to have more such sandiwara, no need to pretend the law is unbiased, no need, just no need .... Get rid of this corrupt system!
