AzalinaOthmanS No need referendum. No need by election. Dont waste rakyats funds. Just let the hoppers supreme council chose a replacement mp with someone from same party. So politicking kept to the minimum and so mp's can focus on nation building. Let mp's do what they are actually paid for.

AzalinaOthmanS Propose the law ASAP & put it in Fed Const and state const otherwise courts will say ultra vires by virtue of freedom of association. Then it will show how SINCERE MPs are on both sides to anti hopping. Ban 5 terms for frogs. Even NO senatorship to frogs.
AzalinaOthmanS For me, should have 4 ballot paper we need to use during the election. 1. ADN 2. Whether ADUN can hop or not 3. MP 4. Whether MP can hope or not 1 and 3 use first past the post 2 and 4 use majority answer
AzalinaOthmanS The law must void MP status who decides to hop to another party or become an independent. No carrying forward of MP status to another party. This will not add to total number of MP to form gov. Conduct a by-election to allow voters to re-elect a new MP.

AzalinaOthmanS I think it too cumbersome. First there will be referendum by voters. If voters decided the MP should not be retained, there will be by-election. The process should be short and simple.
