PETALING JAYA: Malaysia are looking good for the men’s singles title in Europe a week after independent shuttler Yeoh Seng Zoe emerged as the Irish Open champion.

This comes after Ng Tze Yong, Aidil Sholeh Ali Sadikin and Soong Joo Ven all made it to the semi-finals of the Scottish Open in Glasgow yesterday.

Tze Yong, a winner of three titles this year, showed his eagerness to make up for last week’s disappointing last-eight exit in Dublin as he easily knocked out Bulgaria’s Daniel Nikolov 21-14, 21-11.Aidil was made to sweat before progressing to his second semi-final since the Polish Open in March.Former international Joo Ven maintained his consistent performance to reach his second semi-finals in as many weeks.
