Primary school teacher Norhayati Mohd Ariffin,44, and her third daughter Nadia Nazurah Amri,15, showed the picture of her missing husband Amri Che mat,44, during an interview at their house at Jalan padang Behor, Kangar, Perlis yesterday. Amri went missing on 24th Nov 2016 after an outing. His car was found an hour later abandoned at a abandoned school project at Bukit Chabang, Padang besar, Perlis.
Norhayati’s claim was filed on Monday at the Kuala Lumpur High Court by lawyer Larissa Ann Louis of Azri, Lee Swee Seng & Co. “I am convinced that this failure, especially in the critical first few days, is why my husband was not found or recovered safely from his abductors, ” she said, adding that her daughters and she have suffered and continue to suffer serious anguish and distress since Amri’s abduction.
In April, The Human Rights Commission of Malaysia concluded in an inquiry that the Special Branch were behind the enforced disappearances of Pastor Raymond Koh and Amri.At the time of his disappearance in 2016, Amri and Norhayati, both 43, had been married for 19 years.
