PETALING JAYA:Parti Amanah Negara president Mohamad Sabu says his party fully supports Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad as the Prime Minister.

PETALING JAYA:Parti Amanah Negara president Mohamad Sabu says his party fully supports Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad as the Prime Minister.

In a statement Monday , he also said the party stands firm in giving Dr Mahathir the full support to lead Pakatan Harapan. "May Allah give Tun the strength to overcome the political turmoil going on. We stand together with Pakatan and Tun for a better Malaysia," he said.The Prime Minister's Office had confirmed that Dr Mahathir has sent in his resignation letter to the King in a statement Monday.

Parti Keadilan Rakyat had also confirmed that deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali and vice-president Zuraida Kamaruddin have been sacked from the party. Azmin, Zuraida and nine other PKR MPs aligned to his faction later announced they are leaving PKR to form an independent bloc.
