KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 21 — The Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC) today announced that the government is discontinuing prosecution of 12 Malaysians it had charged with supporting the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), which included two DAP lawmakers. Attorney General Tan Sri Tommy Thomas said the decision was made after finding insufficient evidence to back its prosecution that would lead to a “realistic prospect of conviction”.
“For these reasons, I have decided that there is no realistic prospect of conviction for any of the 12 accused on any of the 34 charges. “Accordingly, in the exercise of my discretion pursuant to Article 145(3) of the Federal Constitution, I have decided to discontinue proceedings against them with immediate effect,” he said in a statement.
Where in the world can one find an AG, individually dropping charges on terrorists. Lack of evidence? Constitutional rights? Shouldn't the courts be allowed to decide?Obviously, think again! Shouldn't those rights be utilized to protect the masses; all citizens instead of the 12?
no drop also will lose the case due to lack of evidence 🤣
It is not easy for idiots to understand the intricacies in law.
Expecting the repulsive racists to start shrieking.
See how the Old Man creates discord between people; create a situation & later dismantle it - causing one race to feel injustice & another to feel justice was served. Come on people, can you just see how he's been playing you all? He doesn't give a damn about anyone but himself.
Still terrorist group
yeay
Directly this is good pre-requisite for the future cases as this will be a benchmark to others cases. Then it is not simply charges the invidual or group by having certain idol photo in theirs facebook or mobile phone.Simply cannot justify the person tend to be terrorist. Bravoo🤲
SanjeevanSS
AG should investigate if those who ordered the Arrest had any ulterior Motives? Were they ask to do it by those that Lost Powers to intentionaly cause problems for DAP Leaders?

Treat ISIS cases vice versa lah
Bravo AG Thomas! Next step is to press charges against authorities who abused their powers to institute fake and concocted charges and jail them for abusing SOSMA and holding innocent citizens without bail in jail!
azwanbro Kudos AG Tommy Thomas AGCPutrajaya for making the right decision to drop the charges against the 12 SOSMA detainees. From the start it was ckear that there is no tangible evidence the12. It is a waste of taxpayers money and time to proceed with these 12 frivolous cases.
PH government can't be trusted anymore .. We regret voting You !!
Siap lah kena bersilat dengan geng bulan dan geng keris.
