7,000 advisories issued under Singapore virus ‘circuit breaker’

MORE than 7,000 written advisories have been issued to people breaching Singapore’s stepped-up social-distancing measures, mostly at hawker centres and markets. The measures dubbed a “circuit breaker”, announced by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Friday, came into effect yesterday for a period of a month to stem the spread of Covid-19.
