MOHAMED Azmin Ali today pointed out the strong support and love from his wife and children for him, especially in the light of the current attacks on him in the form of the recent sex video.

He said that his biggest challenge is being a father, and that his family was his life.

“The most challenging job is to be a father. The love of my children and wife is my life. Happy Father’s Day,” he said in his Instagram posting.

Earlier at an event in Gombak Setia, the PKR deputy president similarly touched on the support from his family in the face of the scandal he is facing.

Addressing questions from the media, the economic affairs minister said he had become stronger as a result of the attacks against him, which he had managed with the help of his family.

“I have a beautiful wife and very strong support from her and my children. And we had a small reunion today. I did not even know today was Father’s Day and I was given a pleasant surprise by my wife and children,” said Azmin after the Hari Raya event.

He also alluded to hidden hands within the party working to ruin his reputation and take him down.

Earlier this week, sex clips of two men, including one resembling Azmin, went viral on WhatsApp.

This was followed by a confession by Santubong PKR Youth chief Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz that it was him in the clips with Azmin. Azmin has denied it was him in the video, calling it a nefarious plot to destroy his political career.

Haziq was arrested and released by police yesterday for investigations over the sex video.

Yesterday, Deputy Prime Minister Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail expressed sympathy for Azmin’s family over the sex video scandal.

“I reject ‘gutter politics’ because I have been through it (and) I sympathise with Azmin’s family,” she said. – June 16, 2019.
