576 Indian nationals in Malaysian jails

THE number of Indian citizens in Malaysian jails who have violated local laws stands at 576, according to India’s External Affairs Ministry. Saudi Arabia has the largest number of Indian prisoners overseas at 1,811, followed by the United Arab Emirates , Nepal and the United States .
