Pengarah Agensi Penguatkuasaan Maritim Malaysia Zon Maritim Semporna Komander Maritim Norrimi Hassan berkata 13 penumpang bot itu berjaya diselamatkan penduduk kampung, manakala dua lagi mangsa yang dikenali sebagai Noranis, 14, dan Aiman, 6, kedua-duanya dari Kampung Sungai Nakit dekat Semporna, masih hilang.
