4 littoral mission ships in Sabah to boost security in Malaysia n waters
Defence minister says vessels will, among others, thwart threats and monitor area of operations.
Copy URLTHE four Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) littoral mission ships (LMS) deployed at the Eastern Fleet Command Headquarters in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, will strengthen security in national waters, said Defence Minister Hishammuddin Hussein.He said the LMS played a role in thwarting threats, monitoring the area of operations, patrolling the Exclusive Economic Zone, support tasks for military operations other than war as well as act as a support platform for tasks in peacetime, conflicts and war.Read more: The Malaysian Insight »
