PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong says he did not meet Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail during the GE15 campaign period nor has he met the Pakatan Harapan secretary-general since.
He was referring to a photo of the two of them together the Home Minister posted on his Facebook account.
Dr Wee said it was an old photo taken on July 28, 2022 in the MP's lounge in the Parliament building.
"It was a Thursday and MPs were allowed to attend Parliament sittings in batik shirts," he posted on Facebook page on Sunday (Dec 4).
Dr Wee added that Saifuddin and him are old friends.
"We have maintained an amicable relationship despite our political differences.
"We have not met during or after the 15th General Election as we have been busy with our campaigns and party affairs.
"I wish Saifuddin all the best in his new role and in protecting the interests of the people and the country," he wrote.
Earlier on Sunday, Saifuddin posted a few pictures that raised speculation that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had been actively negotiating with various parties to form the government even before GE15 took place.
