31 schools in Johor won’t reopen in time for new term tomorrow

A total of 31 schools in Johor, which are either being used as flood relief centres or are still inundated with water, will not reopen for the third term of the schooling session that begins tomorrow. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, January 8, 2022.

A TOTAL of 31 schools in Johor, which are either being used as flood relief centres or are still inundated with water, will not reopen for the third term of the schooling session that begins tomorrow. Speaking to reporters after officiating an event today, state education, information, heritage and culture committee chairman Mazlan Bujang said 23 schools in four districts had been converted in relief centres, namely eight in Segamat, Tangkak , Muar and Batu Pahat while eight others, namely four in Tangkak, Segamat and Muar were still flooded.
