Employers are responsible for educating workers on good hygiene practices and prevention measures, says Health DG.

| The Health Ministry has reminded construction firms to take precautions against Covid-19 after three clusters of the disease were discovered at construction sites.

“Employers are responsible for educating workers on good hygiene practices and prevention measures. They must ensure these practices are implemented not only at the workplace but it is also important to practice them at the workers’ quarters. The tests have revealed 88 Covid-19 cases at construction sites. Of these, a cluster involving 31 cases had been detected out of 488 people tested at a construction site in Kuala Lumpur.

“The NSC’s orders to screen all migrant workers at construction industries in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor is a precautionary measure that only provides the workers’ health status at that time only before being allowed to return to work.

Why does this Perikatan Nasional government appointed by the Agong treat migrant workers like the way Communist Party of China treats migrant workers working in China? Is it because the government is actually a fascist-communist government? Read: Hantar balik How do you ensure safe physical distance and practices in a detention centre with lots of people. It almost sounds contradictory.

Covid-19 spike: Undocumented migrants form bulk of cases, says Health DGPUTRAJAYA: New infections of Covid-19 hit three digits again since May 3, with a majority of them coming from undocumented migrants. It's that some kinda consolation ? Or in denial that Malaysia walking on very thin ice with over 5mil migrants ...and 3mil unaccounted for. Then compare this to Singapore spike with less than 300k proper documented migrants. This is just the fraction of the bulk of undocumanted migrants. See what Singapore is doing right at this moment, everyday almost 400-500 migrant workers being tested positive for Covid. If Malaysia is doing the same,by the thousand daily, rough estimate. Foreign workers esp illegal is time bomb for us in dealing with covid19. i) their CULTURE is not in keeping with good hygiene (including foreign security guards) ii) their living condition is cramp & very crowded where covid will spread easily Thread 1/2
