Markas TUDM dalam satu kenyataan berkata, insiden itu berlaku apabila kenderaan terbabit hilang kawalan kerana kegagalan fungsi brek semasa menuruni Bukit Jugra selepas selesai menghantar barang di kawasan Hutan Bukit Jugra jam 3.30 petang.
“Kenderaan tiga tan itu membawa pegawai kadet PALAPES Udara dan jurulatih yang juga kumpulan pendahuluan untuk persediaan fasa Latihan Medan bagi Latihan Kem Tahunan PALAPES Udara yang bermula esok.Menurutnya, Pegawai Memerintah dan pegawai perubatan dari Rejimen TUDM Bukit Jugra membantu dan memantau keadaan mangsa.
