MALAYSIA recorded 2,527 new daily Covid-19 cases yesterday, with no fatalities reported, the Health Ministry said.

This brings cumulative cases to 4.57 million, while the number of deaths remain unchanged at 35,771.

The nation also saw 2,359 recoveries, taking this total to 4.51 million.

There are 30,385 active cases, of which 28,701 or 94.5% are in home quarantine.

1,617 or 5.3% of individuals have been hospitalised and only 24 or 0.1% are in quarantine centres.

Some 43 of the 1,617 hospitalised Covid-19 patients are in intensive care, of which 22 are in need of respiratory assistance.

The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (184), followed by Johor (99) and Sabah (75). – July 3, 2022.
