KUCHING: Sarawak will urge the Federal Government to increase the number of parliamentary seats in the state, in line with the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).
Deputy Minister in the Premier's Department (Law, MA63 and State-Federal Relations) Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali said this was part of ongoing efforts to regain Sarawak's rights, following amendments to the Federal and state constitutions which restored the state's status as an equal partner in the Federation of Malaysia.
