Hari Raya aid given out to 1,276 people, says Dr Wee

PETALING JAYA: Hari Raya aid has been given out to 1,276 poor and underprivileged individuals in Ayer Hitam, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

The Ayer Hitam MP said the program was done annually since he was elected to the role in 2004.

“The 65 amil (tithe collectors) who attended the ceremony also helped to collect and distribute the aid to the underprivileged families in their villages.

“May these contributions bring joy to the recipients in light of the upcoming Hari Raya celebrations,” he said in a Facebook post on Friday (April 30).

Also present were Semarang assemblyman Datuk Samsol Bari Jamali and Yong Peng assemblyman Ling Tian Soon.
