250,000 pelarian Rohingya dapat kad pengenalan

Pelarian Rohingya di Cox's Bazar pada masa dianggarkan 900,000, walaupun jumlah itu rendah berbanding anggaran pihak berkuasa Bangladesh dan organisasi bantuan lain. – Gambar AFP, 18 Mei, 2019.

PBB semalam berkata ia mendaftarkan lebih 250,000 pelarian Rohingya di Bangladesh, dengan kebanyakannya kali pertama mendapat kad pengenalan dan bukti hak mereka untuk kembali ke Myanmar pada masa depan. Agensi pelarian PBB juga berkata pendaftaran itu boleh menjadi alat untuk penguatkuasaan undang-undang bagi membantu menangani penyeludupan manusia.
