Schools biggest source of infections as new Covid cases rise to 4,066

COVID-19 transmissions in schools have outpaced other sources of infections, accounting for nine of yesterday’s 13 new clusters. 

Workplaces and the community contributed three and one clusters respectively, according to data gleaned from the CovidNow website.

And of the 4,066 new cases reported yesterday, 138 were attributed to the education sector.

This is in line with the closure of 15 schools in Kedah yesterday due to the rising rate of new infections.
