PAKATAN Harapan (PH) has finalised the seats it will contest in the Malacca elections on November 20 in a meeting attended by its leaders last night.

Anthony Loke, who is also PH’s co-ordinating whip leader, said an official announcement will be made tomorrow, said in a Facebook post today.

“Seats to be contested by the respective parties under Pakatan Harapan have been finalised in a meeting attended by all top PH leaders last night,” he said.

He added in his post a couple of hours ago that the coalition would make the announcement tomorrow.

Yesterday, Amanah president Mohamad Sabu said the matter was still being discussed by the coalition and that an announcement would be made in a day or two.

He had added that the position of four former Malacca reps in the polls was also being discussed.

On October 5, four assemblymen announced they had withdrawn support for the state government led by Sulaiman Md Ali, which saw the dissolution of the state assembly, paving the way for the polls.

The Election Commission has set November 8 for nomination day, while polls will be held on November 20.

The four assemblymen are Idris Haron (Sg Udang), Nor Azman Hassan (Pantai Kundor), Noor Effandi Ahmad (Telok Mas) and Norhizam Hassan Baktee (Pengkalan Batu). – October 28, 2021.
