NATIONAL Recovery Council chairman Muhyiddin Yassin and wife Noorainee Abdul Rahman received their Covid-19 booster shots today at the Axiata Arena vaccination centre (PPV) in Kuala Lumpur.

Muhyiddin, 74, and Noorainee, 69, arrived at the PPV at 9.35am and were done with their Pfizer jabs by 10am.

During the time they were required to remain in observation after vaccination, the two chatted with the teenagers who were in the same waiting room.

The former prime minister later told reporters the jabs had gone well and that he was not experiencing any immediate effects.

He said he had made an appointment for his shot on MySejahtera a a few days ago.

“After that, I myself made a call to ask the Ministry of Health and was told I could come today,” he said, adding that he sought the booster dose to increase protection as he was 74 years old.

Muhyiddin also reminded the public to continue to adhere to public health orders.

“Some countries such as the United Kingdom have recorded an increase in new cases and Malaysians should take that as a lesson.” – Bernama, October 23, 2021.
