‘Buy Malaysian’ sales hit RM3.3 billion last year, Nanta says


THE ‘Buy Malaysian’ products campaign registered encouraging sales last year, Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Alexandar Nanta Linggi said.

According to the minister, the campaign chalked up RM3.3 billion in sales, moving more than 326,000 units for the retail sector, while the online marketplace portal recorded a sales value of more than RM145 million.

“The campaign played the leading role in ensuring that the domestic economy continues to remain competitive and able to withstand the Covid-19 challenge,” Nanta said. – Bernama, October 18, 2021.
