'Tok Singa' and Azmi Jaafar arrested after being questioned for hours at Patani Road police station. FMTNews TokSinga Chinese Vandalism

The Chinese translations of street names in the heritage quarter of Penang had been spray painted on Sunday night.

Mohd Firdaus Adnan, better known as “Tok Singa”, and PAS’ Azmi Jaafar had been called by officers to be present at the station at 9pm yesterday, their lawyer, Shamsher Singh Thind, said. The case is being investigated under Sections 427 and 505 of the Penal Code for committing mischief and making statements conducive to public mischief, and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 for sharing offensive content online.
