186 cases of omicron variant detected since Jan 14

Health Director-General Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah says 186 new Covid-19 cases of the Omicron variant have been detected in the country between January 14 and today. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, January 18, 2022.

A TOTAL of 186 new Covid-19 cases of the Omicron variant of concern were reported in Malaysia between January 14 and today, Health Director-General Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said. He said the Integrative Pharmacogenomics Institute, Universiti Teknologi Mara detected 46 new cases, the Tropical Infectious Diseases Research & Education Centre and Malaysia Genome and Vaccine Institute .
