SEVENTEEN Covid-19 cases of the South African B.1.351 variant have been detected in the country so far, Health Director-General Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said. In a statement today, he said the phylogenetic analysis, as well as geographical linkages, showed the probability that the locally transmitted cases have originated from the same source of infection.

Border closed, yet can get SA variant. Obviously backside govt and health officials doing a crappy job. Already one year, zero improvement. Simply ridiculous. Many restrictions without any idea how to solve the problem.
