“Bantuan digerakkan dari Balai Bomba dan Penyelamat Kunak serta Tawau untuk memadamkan api dalam kawasan berkeluasan dua ekar. “Operasi memadamkan kebakaran menggunakan tiga aliran dan sumber air diperoleh daripada pili bomba dan air terbuka berhampiran lokasi,” katanya dalam satu kenyataan hari ini. Rary berkata, di peringkat awal operasi, pihaknya menghadapi kesukaran memadamkan kebakaran akibat tekanan air rendah di pili bomba serta kedudukan rumah begitu rapat antara satu sama lain.Katanya, tiada sebarang kecederaan atau kemalangan jiwa dilaporkan dan punca kebakaran masih disiasat.
