FGV Holdings Bhd has terminated the memorandum of understanding it signed with Samyang Foods Co Ltd last year.

“The termination of the MoU will not have a financial impact on the company and its subsidiaries,” said FGV in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.

The two companies had entered an agreement to establish halal Samyang production facilities in Malaysia, with a focus on producing instant noodles for both the domestic and international markets.

Samyang is a South Korean firm listed on the country’s stock exchange.

It manufactures and sells various food items, such as noodles, dairy products, sauces and frozen dumplings. – Bernama, January 24, 2020.
