ISKANDAR PUTERI: Dianggarkan seramai 1,440 pengembara dibenarkan merentas sempadan Malaysia-Singapura melalui pelaksanaan Laluan Perjalanan Vaksinasi darat dalam tempoh seminggu pertama pembukaannya.
Sehubungan itu, pihaknya berharap pembukaan VTL darat yang dijadualkan serentak dengan VTL udara pada 29 November ini tidak ditangguh. “Apa yang penting adalah kita buka dahulu laluan sempadan darat berkenaan dan memastikan semua prosedur operasi standard dilaksana untuk memastikan ‘safe travel’ semua pihak terlibat,” katanya.
Tambah beliau, kerajaan bagaimanapun sedang memuktamadkan sama ada pengembara berkenaan hanya akan dibenar menggunakan pengangkutan awam atau turut dibenar menggunakan kenderaan persendirian.
