Elefanti morti in Botswana, oltre 350 decessi: e le cause sono un mistero

Per gli scienziati si tratta di un "disastro ambientale" cominciato a inizio maggio quando fu trovato un gruppo di elefanti morti nel delta dell'Okavango. Alla fine del mese il numero era salito a 169 e a metà giugno più che raddoppiato con il 70% degli animali trovati senza vita vicino a pozze d'acqua. "Una moria del genere non si vedeva da tempo, forse non si era mai vista. A parte nei periodi di siccità, non c'è mai stato un numero di morti così elevato", ha detto il direttore della ong National Park Rescue
