Woman in her 50s attacked with metal mug in aggravated burglary in Cork | JOE.ie

In the early hours of the morning, a man broke into the house and when he was discovered by the homeowner, he proceeded to assault the woman using what has been described as a"metal travel mug".

The woman received injuries to her head and no property was taken from the premises.The man in question was taken to Bridewell Garda Station, Cork where he is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
