The woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene

The tragic incident happened in Castlemartin Avenue, Laytown at around 9.40am this morning.A garda spokesman said: "Gardai in Laytown are investigating a fatal house fire that occurred on Castlemartin Avenue, Laytown, Co. Meath at approx. 9.40am this morning Saturday the 23rd of March 2019.

"Her body was taken to the Mortuary in Navan General Hospital where a full PM will be conducted.
