The ESB, which operates the Parteen Weir located upriver from Clonlara, increased the flow of water to maintain safe levels within the dam. Clare County Council delivered portaloos to residents whose septic tanks and water wells were compromised and backed up by the floodwater. “Were in the same situation we have been for years, no improvement whatsoever,” Mason said. Past promises by politicians, he says, have been “a waste of time”.“I’ve had no sleep, I’m looking out the window at night with a torch to see is the field flooding across from us,” said Kinsella.
Clearly caused by human water level management at the dam, not the CLIMATE CATASTROPHE!!! It’s Ireland. It rains.
Useless pigs in lienster house any other country they would build levies or dams thd public works project put in place
It only takes one case to change it. None of that land should have been zoned for a start. I see there was a small victory for rural Ireland recently allowing them to continue cutting bogs. I say small victory because that water has to drain somewhere.
It’s terrible to see who can believe it
So sad to see people living in Clare.
