Vodafone has announced that it will donate 1,000 new smartphones to ALONE, a charity for the elderly in Ireland.
The smartphones and the phone credit will then be distributed by ALONE and its partners, who are working together to support older members of our community during the Covid-19 emergency. Sean Moynihan, CEO of ALONE said:"We are hugely grateful to Vodafone for their support, particularly at this difficult time for all of us. This crisis is proving particularly challenging for older people and especially those who are most vulnerable and living on their own.
Barry Murphy and Andrew Trimble are back together as they host the latest House of Rugby from their houses. The lads are joined by Ulster and Ireland scrumhalf John Cooney. They talk about staying positive during wild times, the pay deferral agreement made between Rugby Players Ireland and the IRFU, and chat movies too.
How sound of them. I know an elderly person who was being charged up €135 a month for a mobile bill due to premium messaging services. Vodafone laughed about and said it's not their problem.
