The man, aged in his 40s, was involved in a crash with a car at 7pm on the Sea Road in Arklow.Gardai and multiple fire brigades from Co Wicklow attended the scene, where the motorbike burst into flames immediately after the collision.
A Wicklow Fire Brigade spokesperson said: "Our best wishes to to motorcyclist and motorist involved in a road traffic collision on the Sea Road north of Arklow Monday evening. "The motorbike caught fire after the collision. Crews from Arklow and Wicklow Town assisted Ambulance and Gardai at scene."A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí and Emergency Services attended the scene of a road traffic collision involving a motorbike and a car that occurred on the 13 July 2020 at approximately 7.10pm near the Sea Road, Arklow, Co Wicklow.
"A man in his 40s was seriously injured and was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital for treatment, while another man in his 50s with minor injuries was also taken to St Vincent’s Hospital."
