Beena George, 58, who worked at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogehda, Co Louth, passed away over the weekend after contracting Covid-19.He said: "With profound grief and sorrow I share the news that my wife Beena passed away peacefully around 6.30 this morning at our lady of lourd hospital drogheda.
Local councillor Paul Bell paid tribute to the Indian native for the work she has done in the community. "Beena fell victim to the COVID 19 virus on Sunday last giving rise to great sadness amongst her family, friends and comrades. "A huge sacrifice in the giving and preserving of our lives. May Beena rest in peace. In honour of Beena and all health workers we must work harder together to beat COVID 19.
