How the DUP's strategy fell apart in the face of Boris Johnson's Brexit deal

One thing Foster didn’t focus on was the huge compromise the party had already made in pursuit of a Brexit deal. After spending two years rejecting a border in the Irish sea, the party agreed to just that last week – a major shift from what was previously a ‘blood red line’. The University of Liverpool’s Jonathan Tonge, who specialises in Northern Irish politics, told TheJournal.ie that the party has been “completely stitched up by Boris Johnson”. It’s the latest, Tonge said, in a long line of defeats for the DUP.

“The fact that they’re basically now pro-remain and pro-Good Friday Agreement, you couldn’t make it up,” Tonge says. One detail included in the Belfast Telegraph piece could be read as a warning to voters ahead of the next UK general election, which seems imminent. Dust or Ash 😱😱😱

They only think of themselves

She needs to do something about that chest hair

Scary to think that they are so spiteful towards Irish people that all common sense and goes out the window. Even the Brits find them too much. Knuckledraggers

Couldn't have happened to a better bunch

Now we can guess why they met the UDA/UFF.

Delighted for them they played a risky game and pardon the pun are getting burned now

In fairness though, they're not averse to a bit of ash themselves...💰

No agreement: DUP throw huge spanner in the works by rejecting proposed Brexit dealThe party said it cannot support the proposals “as things stand”. Can we smack the DUP with the spanner instead? 🙄 Hardly surprising that the DUP says 'NO!'. They have a track record of saying 'NO!' to most things. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️
