People Before Profit TD Richard Boyd Barrett called for the Government to support the eviction ban bill.

PEOPLE BEFORE PROFIT have warned of an “avalanche” of evictions and further spikes in homelessness if the eviction ban is allowed to lapse.

“The government hasn’t taken the sort of emergency measures that we actually need to stem the flow of people into homelessness and to address the wider housing crisis,” Boyd Barrett said. People Before Profits’ bill is currently being supported by both the Peter McVerry Trust and the Simon Communities of Ireland.

During the press conference, a landlord who is currently homeless due to the eviction ban, Jeanette Brown, told people who were gathered there that there are small minorities of landlord who are unable to move back into their property.

More RRB, pinko, socialist nonsense, he really does talk some bull...t

Parasite on the Irish people's money in Dail Eireann and you have the cheek to speak badly of legally permitted Irish people to operate a business

This jerk is a joke

They’ll only be evicted if they’re not paying their rent

There will certainly be am avalanche of evictions of PBP TD's from Dail Eireann come the next election!

And yet their leader constantly blocks developments in his own constituency that would increase supply.

Ireland obsessed with avoiding a housing crash. The government cannot keep up these extreme measures as they are only serving to keep property prices high and force more people into homelessness.

PBP the very same people who are on elaborate salaries and pensions and in the middle of a housing crisis where Irish citizens have been found dead on our street they still call for open borders for unvetted refugee asylum seekers migrants hypocrites

Private landlordism is an inherently parasitic activity and we should be working to eliminate it as a means of housing provision. All rented accommodation should be provided by the state on a non profit basis and at an affordable percentage of family income. HousingCrisis

Question? Why would you bother being a landlord then🤔

And when will the housing emergency end, 10 years 20 years? it will never end as long as you continue to support anyone and everyone coming into the country , but don't worry it will only be the Irish sleeping on the streets

Where will evictees be expected to go if/when this happens? Any temporary accommodation since the eviction ban kicked in has been taken up by the influx of refugees. As a renter, this terrified me.

Another serial protester/champagne socialist/trot waste of space.

And just why would there be evictions? Would it have anything to do with Govt. paying premium prices for the 'guests of the nation'?

A party that wants open boarders for everyone talking about evictions get out of the dail u commie u support unvetted undocumented male migrants in 1000s flooding the streets putting the women and children of of Ireland in danger we want u out

The same party wants unlimited immigration into Ireland. Stop platforming extremists.

Don’t worry. There soon won’t be any landlords renting their properties. They’ll all be selling as soon as they can.

Calls for extension to eviction ban amid housing crisisPeople Before Profit TD Richard Boyd Barrett has predicted there will be an 'avalanche' of evictions this summer, unless the Government 'very very quickly' intervenes and extends a ban. So he just wants them to repeat the thing they were already doing, which he will then take credit for because he 'applied pressure'? Evictions followed by deportations hopefully. Mass migration has sent housing demand and accomodation prices soaring. Not to mention our tourism industry will be dead in the water if the tourists can't book a room. Over burdened systems inevitably collapse. IrelandisFull There's no housing crisis but there's a migration crisis especially of unvetted scammers coming here having been promise by o gorman free housing after 4months. That little commie Boyd believes we have a responsibility to house the world. I wonder how many migrants has he put up
